Organizations

Signing up creates a personal organization for the new user. Anyone can create more organizations and invite people to them. A user can belong to many organizations and switches between them from the header. Repositories, targets, and runs belong to an organization. Owners can rename an organization and delete it from Settings; deleting removes its repositories, targets, values, and runs.

Roles and scopes

Each member has a role — owner, admin, or member — and members may additionally hold two scopes: deploy and configure. Members with neither scope are viewers. The organization always keeps at least one owner; the last owner cannot be demoted or removed.
The typical client setup: the agency’s engineers are admins; the client’s operator is a member with the deploy scope and, if they also supply credentials, the configure scope. They can run the deployment and fill in the form, and nothing else.

Invites

Invites are created on the Members page with an email address, a role, and scopes. Each produces a single-use link, valid for 14 days, that you share out-of-band; Keel does not send email. Opening the link signs the person up (or in) and adds them to the organization. Pending invites can be revoked.

Accounts and sessions

Accounts sign in with email and password. Passwords are hashed with argon2id; sessions are opaque tokens with a 30-day expiry in HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax cookies, marked Secure when KEEL_BASE_URL is https://. The Account page changes name, email, and password.
